MY STORY ON COMMUNITY BUILDING AND LEARNING SUSTAINABILITY DURING COVID-19 LOCKDOWN In the past three months, COVID-19 lockdown has changed just about everything in our lives especially the school system. All of us who are in the teaching profession have been figuring out how to engage our students who have been adjusting to learning from home. Come to think of it, even if everything has changed, there is something that has not changed- the overwhelming need for continuous learning of these students. As the saying goes, “If you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the problem”. TOPIC: LEVERAGING THE POWER OF RELATIONSHIP TO FULFILL PURPOSE Good evening to erudite scholars. The topic before me says, “Leveraging the Power of Relationships to Fulfill Purpose”. I will like to start this session with a famous quote from Archimedes that says, “Give me a lever long enough and I could move the world.” Let me take us back the memory lane. During our days in Junior Secondary School, there is a particular subject called INTRODUCTORY TECHNOLOGY. There is an aspect that taught us about “lever”, “fulcrums”, “pivot” etc. Taking insight from here would help us understand tonight topic and apply ourselves to what Holy Spirit intends to pass through me. We learned that ‘lever’ allows us to use less force to lift or move objects. And interestingly, this principle is applied to a lot of the everyday objects we use such as scissors, bottle openers, doors, etc. Without the principle of leveraging been applied those objects wouldn’t fulfill their purpose...
