RAPED AT AGE 12...

Atinúké was raped at age 12  twice by a family member and that completely changed her life. Because she had nothing to hide anymore, she started having sex with different men. She was introduced to pornography, masturbation and lesbianism while in secondary school. She was lost, broken and hurt because she felt God had no use of her to have allowed her suffer.

Then, the drugs and night clubbing started. The nightmares were out of this world. So many people didn't understand what was happening to her. She was lost, tired, angry ...And then, she felt she needed to go deeper and she joined the Jezebels.

On the outside, she was the “wow” girl, with so much talents, doing very well in school, with a bright smile and very active  but on the inside, she was a burning coal. She cried every single moment she was alone. She hated every bit of her life because she saw herself as used and dumped by different people.

Today, things are different. She found Jesus along the way and she is thankful to God for sending the right people to support her on the journey to recovery. They held her hands throughout her healing journey. She is grateful because God taught her how to forgive herself and her offenders and she has long put her past behind her. Her mistake doesn't define her. She is free in Christ Jesus.

Statutory rape is a criminal offense that occurs when a person has sexual relations with another person who is not old enough to legally consent to having sexual relations. The sexual relations happens between an adult and a minor and the adult can be found guilty in courts of law even if the minor was a willing partner.

However, some adults are struggling with a long-standing sexual interest in children. And whoever they are, they need to know this behaviour is illegal, that children are harmed by it, that serious consequences await those involved in it.
